Neuro Linguistic Programming
NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming, a name that encompasses three most influential components involved in producing human experience: neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines different kinds of models of the world we create. NLP describes the fundamental dynamics between mind and language and how their interplay affects our body and behaviour.
NLP techniques are designed to be supported by a lot of subtle skills such rapport, calibration, language patterns, anchoring, belief preparation, etc. It’s these skills which make a technique fly rather than works for some situations but not for others.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming was specifically created in order to allow us to do magic by creating new ways of understanding how verbal and non-verbal communication affect the human brain. As such it presents us all with the opportunity to not only communicate better with others, but also learn how to gain more control over what we considered to be automatic functions of our own neurology.
